OctoWork ("OctoWork," "we," "us") provides scheduling, client-management, and messaging tools to independent service businesses ("Businesses"). This policy explains how we handle personal information, including mobile phone numbers used for SMS notifications.

Information we collect

Business-user account information (name, email, role).
Client records entered by Businesses, which may include a client's name, email, phone, and mobile number.
Service and usage data needed to operate the platform.

How we use mobile numbers and SMS

A client's mobile number is used only to send transactional service messages — appointment reminders and job/ticket status updates — on behalf of that client's own service Business. We never use mobile numbers for marketing.

Sharing

We do not sell or rent personal information.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. Mobile phone numbers and SMS opt-in/consent information are used solely to deliver the messages described above and are never shared with any third party for any other purpose.

We use a messaging provider (AWS End User Messaging) solely to transmit these messages on our behalf; it is not permitted to use the data for any other purpose.

Opt-out

Recipients can reply STOP to any message to stop receiving texts, or HELP for assistance. You may also contact us at support@octowork.co.

Data retention & security

We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide the service and meet legal obligations, and we apply industry-standard safeguards — encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, and per-Business data isolation — to protect it.
